How to Create Unique and High Quality Content Consistently
We’ve spoken with many content creators over the past couple of months and identified three pain points that stop many from creating content, resulting in frustration with the process.
We will teach you how to create unique and high-quality content consistently. When you become frustrated, you stop producing, which ruins your consistency, one of the habits of successful content creators.
Find the time when you’re the most creative
If you’re not in the mood to create content, then do not force it. You will not produce your best work this way.
Routines help creators, but we all work differently. If you feel restricted when working to a schedule, then go with the flow; what we mean by this is, create when your mind is telling you it’s a good time.
At Creator Trail, we aim to post 1-3 new blog posts a week, and how many we publish depends on how creative we feel throughout the week.
Of course, if it’s Friday and we’ve yet to publish a new blog post, we would make an extra effort over the weekend to ensure that we meet our quota of at least one new piece of content published on the website.
Consistency is essential, but so is working when you’re the most creative to ensure the focus is on quality.
You might be the type of creator that needs a schedule for creating content each week, and there is nothing wrong with this way of working.
We advise you to keep it to a sustainable routine over a long period, especially when you start creating content.
Use a content calendar
You will find times when it is challenging to come up with new topics; this can result in you creating content on a topic you’ve already published.
For times when you’re struggling with ideas, use a content calendar so you can refer to it for inspiration. Also, having time-sensitive content ideas on a calendar will ensure that you give yourself time to create before it is published.
If you are a content creator providing tutorial-style content, you must ensure that the topics are in a specific order.
Having a calendar will help with the planning around this style of content. This way, your audience can go through each step and achieve their goal.
As you start monetizing your content, new creators may come on to your team; in this scenario, a content calendar is a must.
Document your content creation process
Let’s be honest; creating content is only a tiny part of the process. You have to do keyword research before starting and ensure that the topic is helpful for the people you want to attract. Then when you’ve created the content, it’s vital to complete optimization to ensure it’s discoverable.
Also, when you have new creators on your team, it’s handy to have the process written down step-by-step so that all tasks are completed. We have used Notion to create a knowledge base of our content creation process for all the team.
Use Grammarly to proofread your written content
We use Grammarly to proofread all of our content before publishing it on the website. After fixing spelling and grammar issues, we have an editor review the blog post a final time before publishing it.
It’s surprising how many mistakes this tool highlights. Because it is AI-powered, it also suggests improvements on the layout of paragraphs and checks clarity and many other grammar mistakes the writers make.
We also love the Plagiarism feature, which checks to ensure your content is unique. Applicable if you are paying for content; some writers will try to cheat by copying others’ work.
The free version will pick up 40-50% of your mistakes, but we recommend investing in the Pro version to ensure that your content is high quality.
Hopefully, this article has taught you how to create unique and high-quality content consistently. If you found this helpful, we would love it if you signed up for our newsletter for content creators, which is entirely free.
